Ingredients

• whole milk - 2 cups
• granulated sugar - ½ cup
• unsweetened cocoa powder - ¼ cup
• cornstarch - ¼ cup
• salt - ¼ teaspoon
• vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
• dark chocolate, chopped - 3 ounces
• butter - 2 tablespoons

Instructions

   In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.

   Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to boil.

   Remove from heat and stir in the chopped dark chocolate, butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

   Pour the pudding into serving dishes and let it cool to room temperature.
