Ingredients

• All-purpose flour - 1 ¼ cups

• Fresh strawberries - 2 cups (halved)
• Strawberry jam - ¼ cup
• Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
• Heavy cream - 1 cup
• Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
• Granulated sugar - 2 tablespoons

Instructions

   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

   In a bowl, mix flour, powdered sugar, and salt.

   Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

   Add egg yolk and cold water, mix until dough forms.

   Press the dough into a tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork.

   Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden, then let it cool.

   In a small saucepan, heat strawberry jam and lemon juice until smooth.

   Arrange the strawberry halves on the cooled tart shell.

   Brush the strawberries with the warm jam mixture.

    Whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract and granulated sugar until soft peaks form.
