Ingredients

• Fresh strawberries - 500 grams
• Granulated sugar - 150 grams
• Whole milk - 250 ml
• Heavy cream - 250 ml
• Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
• Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon

Instructions

   Wash and hull the strawberries, then blend them into a smooth puree.

   In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and sugar over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

   Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

   Mix the strawberry puree, lemon juice, and vanilla extract into the milk mixture.

   Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold it gently into the strawberry mixture.

   Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.

   Transfer the gelato into a container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
