Ingredients

• Unsalted Butter - 1 cup (2 sticks)
• Granulated Sugar - 1 cup
• All-Purpose Flour - 2 cups
• Vanilla Extract - 1 teaspoon
• Salt - ¼ teaspoon

Instructions

   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

   In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

   Mix in the vanilla extract.

   Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.

   Shape the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them an inch apart.

   Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a spoon or fork.

   Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

   Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
