Ingredients

• All-purpose flour - 1 and ½ cups
• Granulated sugar - 1 cup
• Unsalted butter - ½ cup
• Eggs - 2 large
• Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
• Baking powder - 1 and ½ teaspoons
• Salt - ¼ teaspoon
• Milk - ½ cup
• Brown sugar - ½ cup
• Heavy cream - ½ cup
• Sea salt - ½ teaspoon
• Powdered sugar - 2 cups

Instructions

   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

   In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt together.

   In another bowl, beat granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of unsalted butter until creamy.

   Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.

   Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until well combined.

   Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes.

   For the caramel sauce, melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

   Add brown sugar and heavy cream, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.

   Remove from heat and stir in sea salt, then let it cool.

    For the frosting, beat 1/2 cup of cooled caramel sauce with powdered sugar until smooth.

    Once cupcakes are cooled, frost them with the salted caramel frosting.

    Drizzle any remaining caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
