Pecans - 1 cup, chopped
Whole pecans - ½ cup
Brown sugar - 1 cup
Corn syrup - 1 cup
Butter - ½ cup, melted
Eggs - 3 large
Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
Salt - ¼ teaspoon

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.

In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.

Stir in the chopped pecans.

Pour the mixture into the pie crust.

Arrange the whole pecans on top of the filling.

Bake for 50-60 minutes, until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.

Allow to cool before serving.
