Ingredients

• ground beef - 1 pound
• Swiss cheese - 4 slices
• mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
• burger buns - 4
• butter - 2 tablespoons
• garlic - 2 cloves, minced
• salt - to taste
• black pepper - to taste
• olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Instructions

   Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

   In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into 4 patties.

   Add olive oil to the skillet or grill and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.

   In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat, add garlic, and sauté for 1 minute.

   Add sliced mushrooms to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.

   During the last minute of cooking the beef patties, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.

   Toast the burger buns if desired, then assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bun, topping with sautéed mushrooms, and closing with the other half of the bun.

   Serve immediately and enjoy!
