Ingredients

• all-purpose flour - 2 cups
• granulated sugar - ¾ cup
• baking powder - 2 tsp
• salt - ½ tsp
• whole milk - ¾ cup
• eggs - 2 large
• vanilla extract - 1 tsp
• unsalted butter - ¼ cup, melted
• maple syrup - ½ cup
• bacon - 6 slices, cooked and crumbled
• powdered sugar - 1 cup
• additional maple syrup for glaze - 2-3 tbsp

Instructions

   Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.

   In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

   In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until well combined.

   Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

   Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.

   Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.

   Allow the donuts to cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.

   In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with maple syrup until smooth to create the glaze.

   Once the donuts are cool, dip the tops into the glaze and sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
