Instructions

Melt the unsweetened chocolate and set aside to cool.

In a medium bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3.
Add the cooled chocolate and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until well combined.
4.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating for 3-5 minutes after each addition until the mixture is smooth and silky.
5.
Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust and smooth the top.
6.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
7.
Spread the whipped cream over the chocolate filling.
8.
Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set before serving.
