Ingredients

• all-purpose flour - 1 ¾ cups
• unsweetened cocoa powder - ½ cup

• unsalted butter, softened - 1 cup
• granulated sugar - 1 cup
• brown sugar, packed - ½ cup
• large eggs - 2
• vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
• semisweet chocolate chunks - 2 cups

Instructions

   Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

   In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

   In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.

   Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until combined.

   Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

   Fold in the chocolate chunks with a spatula.

   Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.

   Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are soft.

   Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
