Ingredients

• Coconut milk - 2 cups
• Whole milk - 1 cup
• Granulated sugar - ¾ cup
• Cornstarch - ¼ cup
• Egg yolks - 4
• Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
• Salt - ¼ teaspoon
• Shredded coconut - ½ cup

Instructions

   In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, whole milk, and sugar over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

   In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and egg yolks until smooth.

   Gradually whisk the egg mixture into the milk mixture, stirring constantly.

   Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 10 minutes, stirring frequently.

   Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.

   Pour the custard into serving dishes and let cool to room temperature.

   Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.

   Garnish with shredded coconut before serving.
