Ingredients

• All-purpose flour - 4 cups
• Granulated sugar - ½ cup
• Milk - 1 cup
• Active dry yeast - 2 ¼ teaspoons
• Salt - 1 teaspoon
• Unsalted butter - ¼ cup
• Eggs - 2 large
• Vegetable oil - for frying
• Powdered sugar - 2 cups

Instructions

   Warm the milk until it's lukewarm, then dissolve the yeast in it.

   In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.

   Add the milk mixture, eggs, and melted butter to the dry ingredients.

   Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, then let it rise for 1 hour.

   Roll out the dough and cut out donut shapes.

   Let the donuts rise on a floured surface for 30 minutes.

   Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
